Police investigate home invasion in Ashfield

Police are investigating after a home invasion in Sydney’s inner west last night.

Police have been told that about 9.35pm (Tuesday 9 July 2019), an unknown man entered the home a home on Milton Street, near the intersection of Norton Street, Ashfield, and threatened a 22-year-old woman with a knife in a bedroom.

She was able to leave the room and alert another person in the home.

The man left the home and police were contacted, who attended and established a crime scene.

The woman received minor lacerations to her hand.

The pair are not believed to be known to each other.

As inquiries by officers from Burwood Police Area Command continue, police are looking to speak with a man described as being of Asian appearance, possible in his 20s, about 175cm tall, with a slim to medium build, wearing a hooded jumper, black tracksuit pants, and sandals.
