Police investigate Point Cook armed robbery

Detectives from Wyndham North Crime Investigation Unit are investigating an armed robbery that occurred in Point Cook this morning.

Investigators have been told a 16-year-old teenage boy was walking along Featherbrook Drive to catch a bus about 6.35am when he was approached by four unknown males in a BMW sedan.

The males got out of the vehicle, three who produced knives, and demanded the victim hand over his mobile phone.

The victim, from Point Cook, was punched to the face, causing significant facial injuries which required hospital treatment.

The offenders also forcibly removed a jacket he was wearing and demanded he sign out of his iCloud account before the offenders got back into the vehicle and drove away east along Featherbrook Drive.

A passer-by is believed to have followed the offender’s vehicle however has not made contact with police.

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or who has information on the vehicle or males involved to contact police.
