Police are investigating a serious assault incident in Coomera on the Gold Coast yesterday, 22 September.
At approximately 6.40pm, a security guard has approached a group of young people at a shopping centre on Foxwell Road.
It will be alleged two young males have then assaulted the man.
During the assault, the 66-year-old security guard has fallen to the ground and sustained a head injury.
He was taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious condition.
Police are appealing for any information, witnesses or relevant vision that could assist the investigation.
