Police investigate serious assault at Dutton Park 25 August

Police are investigating after the serious assault of an 80-year-old man at Dutton Park yesterday afternoon, August 24.

Around 5.20pm police were called to a disturbance in a unit at Wahcumba Street involving two men known to each other.

On arrival they located an elderly man with serious multiple injuries to his jaw, head and back.

The man was transported to hospital for treatment to his injuries and is currently undergoing surgery this afternoon.

Police are searching for a 53-year-old man that may be able to assist with their inquiries.
