Police are investigating a hit and run after a 16-year-old boy received life threatening injuries when he was struck by a car last night.
Around 9.10 pm, police were called to Bermuda Street following reports that three boys were attempting to cross the street, when one of them was hit by a car travelling south.
The male driver of the vehicle did not stop and provide assistance to the boy.
The youth was taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital with serious head injuries.
A 44-year-old man is helping police with their inquiries.
If anyone has dashcam footage or witnessed the incident they are urged to contact police.
The Forensic Crash Unit is continuing its investigations.
