Police investigating wounding at Guanaba

A 53-year-old woman has been charged after allegedly stabbing a man at Guanaba last night.

Police were called to a disturbance at a Guanaba residence just after 10pm and located a 54-year-old man with stab wounds to his neck.

He was transported to hospital where he remains in a serious condition.

A 53-year-old woman, known to the man, was taken into custody at the scene and has since been charged with acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm (domestic violence offence).

She was denied police bail and will appear in Southport Magistrates Court today.
