Police investigating wounding at Manly West

Police have arrested and charged three men after a 19-year-old Manly West man was allegedly wounded with a machete at his Raeburn Street home yesterday afternoon, September 25.

It will be alleged at 2pm the men forced their way into the address, before an altercation took place with the occupant who subsequently sustained a wound to his arm.

Responding police arrived and took two of the men into custody without incident.

The third man allegedly fled the address and after a short foot chase, was taken into custody nearby.

The 19-year-old was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A 19-year-old Tingalpa man, a 22-year-old Birkdale man and a 19-year-old Upper Mount Gravatt man were conjointly changed with one count each of wilful damage, enter dwelling with intent, attempted robbery whilst armed and in company, and wounding.

They remain in police custody and will appear in the Cleveland Magistrates Court this morning, September 26.

Investigations are ongoing.
