Police launch investigation into attempted carjacking in Casula

Police are appealing for public assistance following an attempted carjacking at Casula overnight.

Just before 10pm (Monday 30 November 2020), a 32-year-old woman and her family left a mall on Ingham Drive and walked to their car, which was parked in a nearby car park.

As the family approached the vehicle, a Mercedes sedan, they were confronted by three men, who were armed with knives.

The trio threatened them before demanding the keys to the car.

The family managed to alert bystanders, who came to their aid, before the armed men fled the scene empty-handed.

Police were called and officers from Liverpool City Police Area Command attended and established a crime scene.

An investigation into the incident is underway and police are appealing for public assistance as they attempt to identify and locate those involved.

All three men were wearing dark clothing and had their faces concealed.
