Police are investigating after a single-vehicle crash in Sydney’s Inner West overnight.
About 11pm (Friday 17 September 2021), emergency services were called to Carrington Road, Marrickville, following reports a van had crashed into a parked car and pushed the parked car into a power pole.
The 29-year-old male driver of the van – who is a disqualified driver – was breath tested at the scene and provided a negative reading, before he was taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital for mandatory testing.
He was uninjured.
Officers from Inner West Police Area Command have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
As inquiries continue, anyone with dashcam footage from the area is urged to come forward.
