Police have charged a woman following investigations into a unit fire in Redcliffe yesterday, 22 September.
At approximately 10am, police and emergency services were called to a unit complex on John Street to reports a dwelling on the second storey had caught fire.
The blaze was extinguished a short time later.
A 33-year-old woman sustained significant burns to her torso and was taken to the Royal Brisbane and Childrens Hospital for treatment, where she remains in a stable condition.
A crime scene was subsequently declared, and a 30-year-old Redcliffe woman was taken into custody on Bee Gee Way a short time later.
She has been charged with one count of arson and is due to face Redcliffe Magistrates Court today, 23 September.
Investigations remain ongoing.
