Police lay charges after stabbing in Bacchus Marsh

Moorabool Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged a boy following an alleged stabbing in Bacchus Marsh on Wednesday 16 November.

Emergency services were called to Bennett Street, Bacchus Marsh about 11.20am after reports a teenage boy had been stabbed in the stomach.

A 15-year-old boy from the western suburbs was taken to hospital for treatment with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

A 17-year-old boy from the western suburbs was arrested yesterday and was interviewed by detectives.

He has been charged with intentionally cause injury, reckless conduct endangering life and use controlled weapon without a lawful excuse.

He was remanded in custody to appear before a children’s court.
