Police lay charges after Wyndham North fatal collision

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives have charged a man in relation to a fatal collision in June 2019.

Two vehicles collided near the intersection of Boundary Road and Davis Road about 4.20pm on 16 June.

The occupants of one of first vehicle, a male driver aged 40 and three female passengers aged 71, 37 and 5 years-old all from Tarneit, were transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The 71-year-old woman later died in hospital.

The 68-year-old Newport man in the second vehicle was transported to hospital with minor injuries.

The male driver of the first vehicle has today been charged with dangerous driving causing death, careless driving and fail to give way at intersection.

The 40-year-old Tarneit man has been bailed to appear in Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on 20 December.
