Police Lay Charges – Domestic Violence At Tennant Creek 15 April

Northern Territory Police have arrested an 18-year-old woman in relation to a domestic violence incident that occurred in Tennant Creek over the weekend.

At around 10.30am on Saturday, police responded to a report that a 17-year-old male had been assaulted with an edged weapon at a residence on Staunton Street.

General duty officers and St John Ambulance personnel attended the scene. The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries and was conveyed to Tennant Creek hospital for medical treatment.

The alleged offender fled the scene before police arrived, but was subsequently located and arrested later that day. She has since been charged with aggravated assault.
