Northern Territory Police have charged a 29-year-old man with murder after an alleged domestic violence incident in Moil on Saturday.
Around 5pm on Saturday, police received reports that a 71-year-old man was unresponsive in a swimming pool at a residence on McMillians Road, Moil.
Police and St John Ambulance attended and the man was declared deceased at the scene. His exact cause of death was unknown at the time of police arrival.
A 29-year-old man, the son of the deceased, was arrested at the location and a crime scene declared.
Investigations have since deemed the death suspicious and the 29-year-old was charged with one count of murder last night.
He will appear in Darwin Local Court today.
