Police lay charges over property offences in Darwin 9 February

Northern Territory Police have charged a man in relation to property offences throughout Ludmilla and Fannie Bay this month.

Between 29 January and 7 February, there have been a number of unlawful entries in the two suburbs with small items and credit cards being stolen.

Strike Force Trident detectives commenced investigations into the fraudulent use of the credit cards and arrested a 21-year-old yesterday.

He has since been charged with:

• 31 x Obtain benefit by deception

• 1 x Unlawfully possess property

He was remanded to appear in Darwin Local Court today.

Acting Superintendent Mark Bland said, “Investigations into these incidents are ongoing with detectives having also recovered and returned some of the smaller items stolen in the unlawful entries.”
