Police lay charges over unlawful entry and stolen vehicle – Palmerston

Northern Territory Police have charged two male youths in relation to an unlawful entry and stolen vehicle in Palmerston on the weekend.

At around 2am on 5 February, a 12-year-old and three unidentified co-offenders, allegedly unlawfully entered a property in Moulden and stole the keys to a Mitsubishi Triton. The vehicle was observed driving dangerously before crashing in Millner the same day.

A 10-year-old was later identified as a suspect in the stolen vehicle.

Strike Force Trident detectives arrested both youths yesterday and the 10-year-old has since been charged with serious breach of bail. He was bailed to appear in court on 4 March 2022.

The 12-year-old was charged with:

  • Unlawful entry – dwelling
  • Stealing
  • Aggravated unlawful use of motor vehicle
  • Serious breach of bail

He was bailed to appear in court on 11 February 2022.
