Police lay murder charge at Norman Gardens

Rockhampton detectives have charged a 49-year-old woman with murder closing a four-month investigation into the death of a 51-year-old man at Norman Gardens in March.

Around midday on March 23, emergency services were called to Cypress Avenue following reports of an alleged assault.

Police will allege the man had sustained a single stab wound to his chest and later died in hospital.

A 49-year-old woman, who is known to the man, was charged with one count of murder (domestic violence offence), denied police bail and will appear in Rockhampton Magistrates Court later today (August 3).
