Police make arrest – Aggravated robbery at Tennant Creek 7 August

Northern Territory Police are investigating an incident where a 74-year-old woman was the victim of an aggravated robbery on Friday afternoon about 3:15pm.

Upon returning home, the woman exited her parked vehicle when she was assaulted, and her vehicle was stolen.

Later, the vehicle was spotted driving erratically through the town. Police used tyre defalcation devices to stop the vehicle, and four youths fled on foot. One youth has since been arrested and investigations continue to locate the other three individuals involved in the aggravated robbery.

The vehicle has been seized and will be forensically examined.
