Northern Territory Police have arrested a man in relation to the death of a woman in Alice Springs earlier today.
Around 9:50am, police received reports that a 47-year-old female was in a critical condition after being allegedly assaulted with a blunt weapon at a bush camp near Stott Terrace, Alice Springs.
Resuscitation attempts were made, however, the woman was declared deceased at 10:45am.
A 51-year-old man, known to the victim, was arrested at the scene and remains in police custody.
