Police make arrest over drug trafficking at music festival, South Australia

One man was arrested for drug trafficking during a police operation at a music festival today.

The 24-year-old Angle Park man was allegedly found in possession of about 70 pills, believed to be MDMA, at the Listen In Festival at Bonython Park this afternoon.

He was arrested and charged with drug trafficking. A further 30 pills were allegedly found at his home following his arrest. He was bailed to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on 20 November.

Another 17-year-old boy was arrested for an outstanding warrant when he allegedly tried to jump the fence into the venue.

Police will continue to monitor crowds and traffic when the festival wraps up later tonight.

A 25km/h speed restriction and lane closures will apply between 10am and 11.30pm in the southbound lane of Port Road in the vicinity of Bonython Park.

Drivers are asked to please be alert to extra pedestrian traffic in the area.
