Police make arrest over unlawful entries in Katherine 11 January

Northern Territory Police have arrested a male youth related to the recent burglary at a Katherine Veterinary Clinic yesterday.

Shortly after 9am this morning, Katherine General Duties officers attended a residence and the 16-year-old male was arrested.

At this time, the dangerous drugs, including Ketamine and Fentanyl, are outstanding and under investigation.

Katherine Criminal Investigation Branch and Strike Force Cerberus continue to investigate and urgently seek the community’s assistance in providing further information regarding this incident.

Anyone with information about the unlawful entries yesterday is urged to contact police on 131 444 or provide anonymous information to Crime Stoppers at 1800 333 000.

Members of the community must be aware that the stolen drugs, particularly Fentanyl, pose an extreme danger. Fentanyl is designed to be absorbed into the body through various means, including transdermal transmission (through the skin). If you suspect you have come into contact with these substances, dial 000 immediately and seek immediate medical attention.
