Police make arrest over unlawful entry – Palmerston 6 May

Northern Territory Police have arrested a youth in relation to an unlawful entry in Palmerston overnight.

At around 1am, police received reports of an unlawful entry at a commercial premises on Yarrawonga Road.

Upon arrival, police observed two males fleeing the location into nearby bushland.

Patrol Dog Drax was deployed and located a 17-year-old male hiding nearby. The male was arrested without incident.

Acting Senior Sergeant Riva Zio said, “Investigations are ongoing to locate the second offender.

“This arrest highlights the incredible asset police dogs are when searching for offenders in difficult terrain. You can certainly run from Drax, but you can’t hide from him.”
