Two people have been arrested following an aggravated burglary in Marrara last night.
Around 9:40pm, the Joint Emergency Services Communication Centre received reports from the victim that three unknown adult males had allegedly smashed a window of the victim’s residence and broken into the premises.
The offenders allegedly stole a quantity of alcohol as well as the victim’s car.
As the offenders were leaving the location in the victim’s car, police attending the scene attempted to apprehend the vehicle.
Two offenders got out and fled on foot while the driver drove off in the vehicle.
One offender was arrested trying to flee on foot while the vehicle was located abandoned in Malak and the driver was arrested after a foot chase.
The vehicle was recovered and investigations are ongoing to identify the third offender.
