Police make arrests over unlawful entry in Alice Springs 6 January

Northern Territory Police have apprehended 3 persons in relation to an unlawful entry in Alice Springs overnight.

Around 2:00am, police received a report that a residence on Renner Street, East Side was in the process of being unlawfully entered.

General Duties, Operation Drina and Strike Force Viper responded, ensuring the immediate safety of the occupant, establishing a cordon and arresting 3 persons who fled the scene on foot.

Three males, aged 14-years-old and 16-years-old and 18-years-old were arrested without incident.

A 14-year-old male and 18-year-old male remain in custody whilst investigations remain ongoing and are expected to be charged later today.

The 16-year-old was released into the care of Territory Families and will be dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justice Act 2005.
