Police probe sudden death in Cooloola Cove

Police are appealing for witnesses following the death of a 44-year-old man at Cooloola Cove.

Officers from Tin Can Bay attended an address on Atlantis Avenue yesterday (May 6) around 2.30pm to conduct a welfare check.

A man, believed to have lived at the residence, was located deceased inside. It is possible he had been there a number of weeks.

The cause of the man’s death is still to be determined, and police are working to establish the surrounding circumstances.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the vicinity of Atlantis Avenue over the past month, or have any further information relating to the matter to come forward.
