Detectives from Mackay Child Protection Investigation Unit are investigating the sudden death of a two-year-old girl in North Mackay.
The deceased child was taken to Mackay Base Hospital last night (December 29) around 8.30pm.
An autopsy will be conducted to establish cause of death.
Investigations are ongoing and there is no further information available at this time.
