At 6.15pm on Tuesday 14th June 2022 police and emergency services responded to a serious motor vehicle crash at Latrobe. A silver Hyundai hatch had collided with the rear of an Isuzu truck in the 80km/h zoned-westbound lane of the Bass Highway.
The driver, a female from Devonport in her 60’s and her front passenger, a 15 year old male from Latrobe died at the scene. The two other passengers in the rear of the vehicle were taken to hospital with minor injuries. The driver of the truck was uninjured.
Police Crash Investigation Services attended and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision.
A report is being prepared for the coroner.
