Police responding to fatal traffic crash at Coombabah

A 90-year-old woman from Paradise Point has passed away in hospital this morning following a serious traffic crash at Coombabah yesterday.

Around 11.10am two vehicles collided at the intersection of Hansford Road and Oxley Drive.

An 85-year-old male driver of one of the vehicles and his 87-year-old female passenger were transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital with minor injuries.

The 90-year-old woman who was the driver and sole occupant of the second vehicle was also transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital but her condition deteriorated overnight and she passed away this morning.

Forensic Crash Officers will investigate the cause of the collision.
