The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating following a serious traffic incident in Eight Mile Plains this morning.
Emergency services were called to the Gateway Motorway Northbound near Logan Road shortly after 2.30am following reports a person had been struck by a vehicle.
Upon arrival, a male in his 20s was found with critical injuries and transported to hospital.
Police located the vehicle involved nearby and the driver is assisting with inquiries.
Investigations are underway to determine the circumstances around the incident.
