Police Search For Tattooed Pokemon Fan

Yarra Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating after a man went on a weekend shopping spree with a stolen credit card in Carlton North and Melbourne’s CBD.

A burglar broke into a Pigdon Street address about 5am on Sunday 17 March, stealing a laptop and wallet containing bank cards.

Police were told he attended nine convenience stores and service stations in the Carlton, Fitzroy and Collingwood areas.

He ended his shopping trip at Melbourne Central where he purchased Pokemon cards from a vending machine and tried to purchase a new PlayStation however was unsuccessful.

All up it’s believed he spent more than $600 with the stolen bank cards.

The offender is perceived to be Caucasian in appearance, about 174cm tall, aged in his mid-to-late-20s, with a thin build, dyed blond hair and distinctive tattoos on his face, neck and hands.

Investigators have released images of a man they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.
