Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate missing Elsternwick woman, Shirley.
The 80-year-old was last seen at care facility on Victoria Street, Elsternwick about 8am today.
Police and family have concerns for her welfare as she has dementia.
Shirley is described as 162cm tall with a medium build.
She was wearing a brown beanie with a pompom, puffy purple jacket, a pink t-shirt and a black bag.
Shirly may travel to the Melbourne CBD or Blackburn area.
Police have released an image of Shirley in the hope someone can supply information on her current whereabouts.
