Police are appealing for information following a crash in Sydney’s east this morning.
About 9.50am today (Friday 18 September 2026), emergency services were called to Marsh Street, Mascot, following reports of a crash.
Officers attached to Traffic and Highway Patrol Command attended and located a water tanker which had crashed into the rear of a stationary tow truck.
The driver of the tanker – a 27-year-old man – was assessed by NSW Ambulance paramedics before he was taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital for mandatory testing.
His passenger – a 21-year-old woman – was taken to St George Hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of the tow truck was uninjured.
Investigations are ongoing.
