Tasmania Police are seeking assistance from the public in relation to a robbery which occurred on Allenby Street in Mowbray at around 6.10pm last night.
During the incident, the female victim was approached by two men who demanded that she hand over her handbag. The bag, which was described as a black leather shoulder bag, contained the victim’s identification, personal possessions, a bank card, some food and an amount of cash.
The victim has handed over her bag and the two men have fled down Allenby Street towards Foch Street.
The two offenders are described as 17-18 years of age and of slim build. One of the men was wearing a white top.
Police would like to speak to anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in the area of Foch Street and Allenby Street, Mowbray during this period.
