Police seek information on Commercial Premises rammed – Woodroffe

Northern Territory police are calling for information following an incident in which a vehicle rammed the front doors of the Woodroffe Supermarket this morning.

Shortly after 10am police received a report that a vehicle had deliberately reversed into premises on Baldwin Drive.

Watch Commander Kaye Pemberton said it appears that the driver of the vehicle had an altercation with staff and was asked to leave just prior to him reversing the vehicle at speed into the front doors.

“The driver immediately decamped before a registration could be obtained.

“The vehicle is described as a white Landcruiser utility with aluminium tray with no sides, black bull bar, side rails and steps.

“There was a blue tool box on the back and another red item possibly being a generator.

“The driver is described as a Caucasian male, with dark hair wearing a camo style t-shirt and brown pants.

“We urge him to contact police or attend a police station.

“Police are calling on any witnesses or member of the public that has sighted the vehicle to contact 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 and quote reference 9912945.”
