Police seek public assistance after serious assault at Parafield

Police are seeking the assistance of the public to identify suspects involved in a serious assault at Parafield.

About 5.30pm on Wednesday 13 May a man was driving behind a silver Holden sedan on Freda Place at Parafield when the Holden stopped suddenly in front of him.

The male driver of the Holden then got out of the car and allegedly punched the man several times in the face before getting back into his car and driving off.

The victim followed the suspect into the carpark of a restaurant on the corner of Main North Road and Kings Road where he was allegedly confronted by the suspect with a metal pole.

A black SUV, occupied by three men and a woman, also entered the carpark at that time and were believed to be travelling with the suspect in the silver Holden.

The occupants of both vehicles then assaulted the victim, resulting in serious head and facial injuries. Ambulance officers treated the victim at the scene before conveying him to hospital for treatment.

Northern District Police are asking the public for assistance in identifying the people involved.

The man driving the silver Holden is described as being of Caucasian appearance, 183-190cm tall, aged 35-40 years with a skinny build and short, slightly yellow hair. He was wearing a plain white, short-sleeved shirt and white pants.

One suspect from the black SUV is described as being a Caucasian man, 172-183cm tall, aged in his mid-30’s, with a solid build and long black beard with a lot of white growing through it. He was wearing a plain black zip up jacket.

Detectives have released images and footage of the suspect vehicles involved and are seeking assistance of the public for information which may lead to the identity of the occupants.
