Police seek witnesses to assault in Darwin City 11 January

Northern Territory Police are calling for witnesses in relation to an incident that occurred in Darwin City on New Year’s Eve.

Between 9pm and 10pm, a 27-year-old woman suffered a severe head injury after being struck with a bottle while outside a complex on Knuckey Street. The bottle is believed to have been thrown from a high level within the vicinity of the Mantra Pandanas, Knuckey Street.

St John Ambulance paramedics provided medical attention before taking her to Royal Darwin Hospital.

Police are appealing to any witnesses or individuals with information about the incident to come forward. Anyone with information is urged to contact police on 131 444 or provide anonymous information to Crime Stoppers at 1800 333 000.
