Police seek witnesses to high-speed crash in Prahran

Prahran Highway Patrol members are appealing for witnesses following a high-speed crash in Prahran early Wednesday morning.

The incident occurred on High Street when a west-bound vehicle, a 2006 white Mitsubishi 380 sedan, lost control just after crossing William Road and crashed into a power pole about 4am.

The driver, a 48-year-old Clayton man, sustained serious injuries during the incident while his female passenger suffered minor injuries.

Investigators believe that high speed was a contributing factor in the crash.

Investigations reveal that the vehicle travelled for some distance on High Street prior to the collision and are appealing for any homeowners or businesses that may have CCTV footage or anyone who saw the car prior to the collision to come forward.
