Police seek witnesses to Werribee collision

Police are appealing for witnesses following a collision in Werribee on 3 September.

It’s believed the driver of a vehicle had a verbal altercation with the riders of two dirt bikes that were seen speeding in the vicinity of Greaves Street North about 6pm.

It’s alleged one of the dirt bike riders broke the mirror off the man’s car during the altercation then sped off.

The driver followed the dirt bikes before he struck a median strip, got airborne and collided with two other vehicles on Greaves Street North.

The dirt bike riders left the scene before police arrival and are yet to be located.

The male driver and his male passenger have been taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

No one else was injured.
