Police Seek Witnesses To West Footscray Armed Robbery

Maribyrnong Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating an armed robbery in West Footscray in October, 2023.

Detectives have been told three men entered the convenience store on Geelong Road just before midnight on 10 October and stole numerous items.

As the trio attempted to leave the store, the 26-year-old store attendant confronted them before one of the offenders stabbed him with a machete.

The offenders were last seen fleeing on foot towards Geelong Road with the stolen items.

The Glenroy store attendant sustained a deep gash to his hand which required medical treatment.

Investigators have release CCTV and images of three men they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.

The first offender is perceived to be Caucasian in appearance with a thing build, approximately 16-18 years old with a short black moustache and beard.

He was wearing a black hooded ‘Nike’ jacket with a zipper at the front and hood drawn, black tracksuit pants and white sneakers.

The second offender is perceived to be Caucasian in appearance, approximately 16-18 years old, short and thin.

He was clean shaven and was wearing a black hooded jacket with a white ‘Nike’ symbol on the left chest area with the hood drawn, black pants, black sneakers with white soles and wielding a large machete with a black blade.

The third offender is perceived to be Asian in appearance, approximately 16-18 years old, clean shaven and wearing a black hooded jumper with ‘Gant’ written across the chest with the hood drawn, black pants and white sneakers.
