Police seek witnesses, traffic crash investigation, Moffat Beach at Sunshine Coast

Investigators from the Forensic Crash Unit are appealing for witnesses and dashcam vision following a crash involving a bicycle and a four-wheel drive in Moffat Beach last night, April 11.

Initial investigations indicate a silver Toyota Landcruiser was making a right hand turn from Buccleugh Street into William Street around 6:50pm when the vehicle struck a cyclist.

The cyclist, a 45-year-old man from Battery Hill was transported to hospital with serious injuries.

The 17-year-old male driver of the station wagon and 16-year-old female passenger were not injured.

Anyone with information, or relevant dashcam/CCTV footage of the area during that time or who may have witnessed the man cycling in the area, are asked to contact police.
