Police update 1: Armed robbery of vehicle at Dalby

Two men have been charged following an alleged armed robbery in Dalby today where a man sustained a gunshot wound.

It is alleged around 8:30am, two men approached a Mitsubishi Triton on Glen Eagles Drive, Dalby.

Police will allege an altercation took place between the two men and the occupants of the vehicle, a male driver and a passenger, which resulted in the driver being shot.

It’s alleged the two groups were not known to each other.

The male driver was taken to Dalby Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

The two men fled the scene in the allegedly stolen Mitsubishi Triton before being located and arrested in South Toowoomba around 10am

A 31-year-old Dalby man has been charged with one count each of attempted murder, armed robbery, unlawful possession of weapons and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

He is due before Dalby Magistrates Court tomorrow, May 12.

A 34-year-old Toowoomba man was charged with one count each of armed robbery, attempted murder, unlawful possession of weapons, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, dangerous operation of a vehicle and possess utensils.

He is due before Dalby Magistrates Court tomorrow, May 12.
