Police update 1: PSPA Declaration Revoked at Strathpine, QLD

Police have revoked an emergency declaration under the Public Safety and Preservation Act (PSPA) following a police incident at Strathpine today, October 24.

Police attended the address on Peter Street shortly after 1.30am in relation to a disturbance.

Upon arrival, police began negotiations with a man, who is in the residence alone.

An emergency situation was declared just after 4am, with boundaries encompassing Gertrude Street, Peter Street, Rowland Street and Cavendish Street.

Specialist police attended and resolved the incident and the emergency declaration was revoked at 6.40pm.

A man is currently assisting police with their inquiries.

Investigations are ongoing.
