Police update 1: Sudden death at Millmerran

Detectives from the Toowoomba Criminal Investigation branch have charged a 30-year-old Millmerran man following the death of a 55-year-old Millmerran man in Millmerran overnight.

Police will allege the 30-year-old man deliberately drove into the 55-year-old man at an address on Commens Street around 9.35pm last night (December 25).

The 55-year-old man suffered critical injuries and died at the scene.

Police located the 30-year-old man at a nearby park a short time later and he was taken into custody.

He has been charged with one count each of murder, unlawful possession of a weapon, possess drug utensils, authority required to possess explosives and driving a motor vehicle without a driver licence. He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear before Toowoomba Magistrates Court tomorrow (December 27).

Anyone who has dash cam footage or may have witnessed the moments leading up to the incident is asked to contact police.
