Police update: Serious injury crash at Burpengary

The 80-year-old Caboolture woman who was a passenger in a car involved in a crash in Burpengary on July 14 has died as a result of injuries sustained in the crash.

Shortly before 3pm a car and a truck collided on Oakey Flat Road before the vehicles left the roadway.

The car driver, an 82-year-old Caboolture man and his only passenger, an 80-year-old Caboolture woman, were conveyed to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital. The female died today from her injuries.

The driver and sole occupant of the truck, a 68-year-old Narangba man, was also transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital for observations.

The Forensic Crash Unit investigations are continuing.
