Police update: Stolen vehicle crash at Ashmore, QLD

A 13-year-old boy has been charged after an alleged stolen car crashed at Ashmore this morning.

Around 6.35am, police were called after an alleged stolen Landrover Range Rover crashed into bushland at the intersection of Old Coach Road and Southport Nerang Road.

The 13-year-old boy was located nearby and transported to hospital in a critical condition.

He has since been charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle, burglary, receiving tainted property, unlicenced driving and careless driving. He is due to appear in Southport Childrens Court later this month.

The boy remains in hospital in a serious condition.
