Police update: Suspicious fire in Bundall, QLD

Police investigating a deliberately lit fire at a business on Upton Street, Bundall, in the early hours of November 10 are appealing for any dashcam vision or for anyone who may have seen anything suspicious to contact police.

Police and emergency services were called around 4.30am following reports of smoke coming from the building. The building was engulfed in flames upon police arrival and a crime scene was later established.

Preliminary investigations indicate the fire was deliberately started inside the premises, with two large barrels located near the entrance of the building.

Investigators are appealing for anyone who may have dashcam vision and was driving along Upton Street, Racecourse Drive or Crombie Avenue between 4am and 4:45am on November 10 to please contact police. The area includes a number of industrial depots and police believe several truck and delivery drivers may have been in the vicinity.

Investigations are ongoing.
