Port Lincoln police are investigating a linked break-in and robbery.
About 4.40am on Saturday 26 September, police were called to a business on New West Road after reports a man had broken into the store. The owner attended after being alerted by an alarm and disturbed the offender inside the premises. The suspect fled on foot empty-handed before police arrived.
Just after 5am, police were called to a service station on Hallett Place following reports that a man armed with scissors threatened staff before stealing cash and cigarettes.
The suspect fled the scene on foot. No staff members were physically injured.
Investigations indicate the same suspect may have been involved in both incidents.
The man is described as wearing a black puffer or parka-style jacket, a blue baseball cap with gorilla motif and dark shorts.
Crime Scene Investigators and detectives attended both scenes and are investigating.
