Peter Gutwein needs to correct the record and apologise over false claims he made to the Tasmanian Parliament yesterday.
The MLC for Elwick Josh Willie said the Premier misled Parliament when he claimed that the CEO of the Jack Jumpers basketball team Simon Brookhouse was in the Legislative Council late at night to specifically meet with Mr Willie.
“The Premier’s claims that Mr Brookhouse was in the Legislative Council to specifically meet with me are categorically untrue,” Mr Willie said.
“Mr Brookhouse was already in the building in the company of the then Sports Minister Jane Howlett before speaking with me.
“It is not good enough for the Premier to claim this is the advice he was given and leave it at that.
“Mr Gutwein needs to correct the record and apologise for misleading Parliament.”
