Prep For Your HSC With Council

Students preparing for their HSC are encouraged to make the most of Camden Council’s Library Lock-in events and HSC Masterclasses this July and August.

Designed to support students throughout their HSC journey, the programs provide dedicated study opportunities, expert guidance and practical exam preparation to help students approach their exams with confidence.

The Library Lock-in events offer exclusive after-hours study sessions for HSC students at Oran Park and Narellan Libraries. Students will have access to a quiet and supportive study environment, while university representatives will be on hand to provide personalised advice, answer questions and discuss future study and career pathways.

The events will be held on:

  • Monday 13 July, 5-8pm, at Oran Park Library; and
  • Thursday 23 July, 5-8pm, at Narellan Library.

The support continues with Council’s popular HSC Masterclasses, designed to help students strengthen their knowledge, refine exam techniques and maximise their results.

Led by experienced tutors, the sessions cover key syllabus content, practical exam strategies and essential study skills across a range of subjects.

The program includes:

  • English Masterclass on Monday 20 and Tuesday 21 July, 4-6pm;
  • Legal Studies Masterclass on Monday 27 and Tuesday 28 July, 4-6pm;
  • Business Studies Masterclass on Wednesday 5 August, 4-6pm; and
  • Modern History Masterclass on Thursday 6 August, 4-6pm.

Mayor of Camden, Cr Therese Fedeli, said Council was committed to supporting local students as they worked towards one of the most important milestones in their education.

“The HSC can be both an exciting and challenging time for students, which is why Council is proud to offer programs that provide extra support, guidance and encouragement,” she said.

“Our Library Lock-ins give students access to dedicated study spaces and valuable opportunities to connect with university representatives who can help them plan for life after exams. The HSC Masterclasses complement this by helping students feel confident and prepared heading into exams.

“I encourage all local HSC students to take advantage of these free opportunities and invest in their success.”
