Our teams are out and about mowing and cleaning up and our fire hazard reduction roadside slashing program will soon be underway.
And property owners can do their bit to reducing the fire risk for them and their neighbours.
Fire is not only in rural areas, grassfires often start in areas on the fringe of suburbia.
But there are things you can do to get fire ready:
- Understand your fire risk
- Prepare and maintain your property – make sure your grass is no longer than 10cm
- Talk to your family, friends and neighbours about your fire plans.
